In this world we would have trials and difficult times, but wherever you find yourself, in whatever situation you find yourself, in your waiting times, abusive times, dark times and times of challenges you can only do this one thing, and that is keep holding the hands of the only Living God through holding on to faith in Jesus Christ for He has already fought and won all battles including yours.
This is the reason Jesus says in His Word “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. John 16:33”.
In all, God is interested in seeing your faith in His Son, in His Word, His Name and power.
Don’t give up, don’t shiver, don’t think it is ever over, and of course don’t stop believing and serving your God. You will have many trials and tribulations, it doesn’t mean God doesn’t know or hear you, He does.
In those unfruitful times, trials and sorrowful times, remember it was never your battle. “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. Daniel 3:16”. You can’t defend yourself for it is never your battle. The battle of faith and life is never our battles for God sent us here and that’s why we must take refuge and have faith in Him always, even it is means been thrown into the burning furnace like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and even like Daniel was faced with the lion’s den.
God wants to see your faith even in your troubles and storms not only when the journey is smooth, this might be the reason for challenges in our lives.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego said to the king “17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. 18 But even if He doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up. Daniel 3:17-18”. Do we still have this type of faith today? Faith that can not be moved irrespective of what the fall, failure, challenges, and trials may be.
He says I have overcome the world and that’s true. So should you feel discouraged, down, abandoned in your struggles and all others? The Bible says “No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. Romans 8:37”.
Paul and Silas, despite been jailed in the inner dungeon still kept their faith and believed in Christ, so they prayed and sang in hymns to God. And God rescued them. (Acts 16:25-26). And as for Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, they walked out of the blazing furnace alive. (Daniel 3:25-26).
So just continue in faith in Him for then “He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Psalm 91:4”.
As weak, small, powerless, lost and helpless you may be physically, God wants to see your faith in Him. That’s the beginning of Salvation from God. “… Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household. Acts 16:31”.
Summon faith and courage in the LORD you will be victorious.
God bless you.
